Our Response To Heartbleed

Heartbleed's impact on the internet

As you may know, a major bug named Heartbleed was reported in OpenSSL this week. This open source cryptographic library is used by websites around the world to protect user information being transmitted over the internet. The heartbleed bug impacted over 60% of all websites, including Userlike. We’ve responded quickly to solve the issue.

What actions did we take?

On Tuesday April 8th, within 24 hours of its public disclosure, we updated the SSL libraries on all our machines and reissued our SSL certificates for www.userlike.com and api.userlike.com. We are not aware of any attacks against Userlike that exploited this bug, but we continue to investigate and perform ongoing security checks.

What’s Next?

Now that we have patched all of our services, we recommend you to take the precaution of updating your login password. We treat security with the highest priority and we are committed to ensure the safety of your data. We will keep you updated about any news on Heartbleed that could affect the Userlike service. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us over the chat or to email us at support@userlike.com.
